Role: Studio Facilities Manager 

Summary:  Lighthouse studios is a 2D animation studio based in the Hogwarts style building of St. Kieran's College in Kilkenny. This role of Studio Facilities Manager will be part of the studio management & facilities team and will be responsible for everything studio related from administrative duties to facilities. The unique building and location is extremely popular with the artists and crew and poses some interesting opportunities in the management of it. This position requires a positive, friendly, dynamic, driven and extremely organised person. 


  • Responsible for all elements of maintaining and enhancing the studio facilities including studios, crew housing, co-ordinating with maintenance contractors, housekeeping and supply contacts

  • Organise crew events, such as 'Show and Tell', Business breakfasts,  Lectures by visiting celebrity artists, use of studio by crew in off peak hours, Xmas Party, Open Day etc

  • Liaise with local community and relevant parties such as County Council, IDA, Animation Ireland, Festival organisers et al
  • Responsible for ordering and managing the studio equipment and furniture inventory while liaising with IT and the Financial Controller 

  • Manage the production requirements around space and crew in consultation with Producers 

  • Manage any necessary work on the buildings including costing and planning with the relevant partners

  • Oversee and develop the existing team 

  • Manage studio marketing and PR with MD
  • Oversee the content for web and social media
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards in Health & Safety and Fire Safety

  • Administrative duties to include but not limited to  creating invites, scanning, filing, general office administration including post, emails and front desk phone (when needed)

  • Any other relevant and reasonable task that may be expected of you in order to ensure amongst other things the smooth running of the studio


  • Previous experience in office management is essential, facilities management is desirable

  • Self starter and Proactive approach to all elements of the job is crucial

  • Understanding and experience of a creative industry desirable 

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaboration and communication is key to this role

  • Must be HYPER organised and efficient

  • Knowledge of marketing and social media a plus
  • Microsoft and Google Doc proficiency essential

  • Must be able to work as part of a fast-paced team and contribute to a dynamic and innovative working environment
